Our winemaker, Doug Maragas, will be here to open the top of a fermenting vat of Merlot grapes (destined for our extended barrel aged reserve Bordeaux blend called "M") for you to take in the sight and aroma of fermentation. This is a complimentary Wine Club only event and limited to two members per membership.
Rather, should we call it a Grape Dance? Judged like an Olympic event to bring nations together in a peaceful way to celebrate human achievement?
We're following a different format this year that is more harmonious with the beautiful wine made from your magically transformed grapes.
Here's what's new:
The general stomp in a bin is replaced by having you step inside a half barrel to transform our grapes with your talented tootsies!
The event will take place a few weeks later in the year to give those beautiful berries a bit more time to sweeten.
The date: This Saturday Sept. 15, 2018
12pm to 5pm
$25 per person - includes
a commemorative glass with a pour of what will be the newly released San Francisco Chronicle medal winning 2016 Tootsie desert wine.Taste your predecessor's talents!
The opportunity to massage our precious grapes with your beloved tootsies in one of our seasoned 1/2 barrels.
a Competition will also be held, but rather than basing the winner on quantity of juice produced, we're going to focus and select based on the creativity and beauty of the dance inside the barrel.
What better opportunity to continue our "Original Artist Series"!
For the stomp, at 2pm, we're featuring the amazingly talented Musical Group -We're featuring the amazingly talented Musical Group - Alovitiman - with their Balkan infused funk rock. Click on this link to listen to a track
