Be serenaded by our own Samantha Maragas (12 years old) as she continues to warm-up her pipes for her June debut with the National Honors Choir when they perform later this summer at Carnegie Hall in NYC! An annual ticketed event that is exclusively available to Club members. Based on the traditional Greek Easter dinner, we've moved further into the year to have a better shot at fantastic
Central Oregon weather. It's a farm to table feast that occurs on the Winery lawn down one long table. Seating is limited to 40 people. Keep your eyes peeled for the upcoming email with details and ticket availability. Celebrate Spring at our Pickup Party Sunday May 6th from 3pm to 5pm. The theme is Italian Food - Inspired by two family members: Gina's grandmother's (also named Gina) wedding soup and vegetable antipasti. Doug's maternal Grandfather's (Nick) Roman red sauce over meatballs over pasta.
At a special moment during the Pickup Party, we'll also hear a song or two from the Winery daughter - Samantha Maragas (that's Samantha in the picture from a month ago in a celebratory pose after finishing her assist on topping barrels). You may have seen on the news that Samantha recently auditioned and earned a spot in the National Honors Choir. She'll be performing this June at Carnegie Hall (yes, the one in NYC!). FYI, she may be doing a bit of fundraising for her trip. Please email (info@maragaswinery.com) or call ((541) 546-5464) the winery to rsvp your tickets for the pickup party. It's complimentary for up to two people per membership. Additional people are $10 per person. RSVP by the end of the day on May 2nd to allow for an ample food prep. ![]() Cheers to our Aunt Mary Marchino We celebrate the passing of our great Aunt Mary on November 3, 2017. She was the image behind the caricature on two of our wines - Muscat Love and Blanco. At her birthday party last month she turned 100 years of age. After her son informed me of her passing this morning, I decided to make a special batch of Sangria and dedicate it to her. The Sangria is a blend of the red lees from our 2016 vintage and currently fermenting pinot gris - a first. I greatly appreciate and relish the memories of an innumerable amount of gatherings with her at her home with Uncle Charlie and the fabulously delicious food she cooked from scratch for me and our family for so so many years. Cheers with much love to you Aunt Mary and the best of journey's through those pearly white gates. For any of you coming to our winery Saturday or Sunday, we'll be giving out complimentary samples of this Sangria and toasting Aunt Mary. Doug Maragas, Winemaker, Maragas Winery |
